Sunday Morning & Wednesday Adult Ed Schedule

Sunday Morning Classes Beginning January 8th:

Drop in Class: Celebration of Discipline - Led by Chris Copping.  Are you a Sunday school teacher who can’t make a class every week?  Are you on a weekend rotation for your job?  This class is for you!  Each week is an independent discussion with no pre class reading or preparation.  Present every Sunday?  This does not disqualify you from this class.  Spiritual Disciplines are relevant for all Christians.

iParent Book Study -Led by Joy Jones.  Parents know that technology is accelerating and threatening to engulf their adoles-cents. Yet the magnitude and implications of today’s trends remain difficult to imagine. This book study identifies the trends, alerts us to their exponential speed, and offers practical wisdom in leading our kids through perilous times.

Invitation to the New Testament – Led by Jeff Birkhold.  Using Matthew’s Gospel as a starting point this study shows how the New Testament writers and the early Christian community wrestled with the implications of the story of Jesus for their lives and their com-munities of faith.  It invites Christians today to study afresh this story of Jesus to learn more about their calling to discipleship and to community.

Wednesday Evening Classes Beginning January 4th:

Beth Moore Study: Here and Now...There and Then – Led by Sara Pitzer. Meets from 6-7:30PM.  Here and Now...There and Then is a lecture series on the book of Revelation. It presents many points of view, allowing women to decide for themselves when the interpretation varies among scholars. She teaches that God is as specific about what He does reveal as He is about what He does not reveal.

Prayer – Led by Joe and Suzy Schwark.  We pray for our own needs and for the needs of others.  We pray in the face of conflict and we pray for forgiveness.  And we can learn how to pray by praying and being prayed for.  In this study we’ll learn from biblical examples, gaining new insights and experiences in the adventure of prayer.

The Life of Joseph – Led by Paster Riley- You've heard, of course, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but how much do you know about Abraham's great grandson -- about Isaac's grandson -- and about Jacob's son, Joseph? - a seven-week study on the very interesting life of Joseph.   If you have ever wanted to know more about damaged family relationships, about using discretion with others, about being a person of integrity, about discerning the will of God for your life, and about forgiving those who are difficult to forgive, then this Study is for you!  Meets in the Sanctuary

Dark Game Night” Jan. 16th. We will have dinner (pizza?) at 7pm and play the ever-popular Dark Game till 11pm.
